Maxim Defense 7.62x39mm 117gr Tumble Upon Impact (TUI) Solid Copper Spun Lead-Free 20/Box is designed to produce optimized close-quarter defense velocities and terminal performance in short barrel rifles (SBRs). SBRs sometimes lack the velocities and terminal ballistics that rifles with longer barrels produce. Maxim Defense, in partner with Fort Scott Munitions made specific adjustments to produce ammunition optimized specifically for SBRs in close-quarter, home defense and personal defense situations. This ammunition features a non-lead, Solid Copper Spun (SCS) bullet and utilizes Tumble Upon Impact (TUI) bullet technology which produces ballistic wound cavities that exceed the standards of both expanding and fragmenting bullets. The design of the TUI bullet causes the bullet to tumble down to 500 Feet Per Second (FPS). In confined areas and close quarter defense situations, the TUI bullet is also designed to lose momentum, so it is less likely to cause collateral harm to bystanders or structures. This powerful subsonic round provides exceptional accuracy, and is also reliable for hunting. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, boxer primed, in reloadable brass cases.
